From "Georgia Revolutionary War Soldiers' Graves" compiled by H. Ross Arnold, Jr. and H. Clifton Burnham, Volume One, Appling-Lanier Counties, page 76. "Henry Holland b 3/1/1757 d 6/26/1853. He enlisted in 1779 in Duplin County, North Carolina and served 6 months as a private in Captain King's Company, Colonel Kenan's North Carolina Regiment and fought at the Battle of Stono. He re-enlisted in 1781 for 3 months in Captains Toole's Company, Colonel Brown's Regiment, and again in 1781 in Captain Coleman's Company, Colonel Murphy's Regiment and fought at the Battle of Eutaw Springs."
