Boober was and always will be the kitty cat love of my life. I have had many cats, but he was special.
I first saw Boober when I was on my way to work one morning. He meowed from the parking lot of the apartment complex. Boober adopted me right there on the spot. He was waiting for me at the front door when I got home 12 hours later. He never left my side and was my devoted companion. Being that he was a stray, I tried to find his owners. After a few months, when no one claimed him, Boober became my special kitty. We shared 18 wonderful years together.
The things I remember the most about Boober was his love of affection. He was a cat that wanted attention from everyone. Especially from me! Boober slept in my arms every night!!! He really loved me as much as I loved him.
Boober was so intelligant. Some examples, are Boober would look both ways before crossing the street. He would walk on leash. He was very sneaky and made sure he got his way. He was not your average cat.
Halloween was Boober's favorite time of the year. He loved children. It was his shining moment every year.It was like he knew Halloween had arrived. Every year when the children would ring the door bell from start to finish, Boober would wait by the glass front door for the next child to arrive. It was his que to get attention, he would force himself on everyone. I had to pick him up when the evening was over, because it seemed to me Boober would wait until the next Halloween at the door. He loved the concept of children coming non-stop to greet him. In his mind Halloween was all about Boober. He was quite the character.
Boober went blind though due to high blood pressure. His life started to change quickly after that. Although, he was a fighter. His health was failing and his kidneys could not longer keep his body going. I felt it was time to let him go his quality of life was gone. I pray he rests with Scardy Cat, the kitty cat love of his life. Scardy was Boober's shadow. I have never seen a cat love another cat as Scardy, loved Boober.
I will always love you Boober!!! I miss you and Scardy so very much. Love MOM
