Let's remember that this is a "memorial" and not verbatim. It is much more likely that Abe & Martha were buried at their home in Hanover, near Verdon, site of the Northanna Battlefield Park. They lived there from 1718 to about 1730. He likely died in 1730.
Son Abe Jr left his patent just NW of Verdon and moved to present-day Mecklenburg, where he died in 1748; John moved to Green Creek in Cumberland and died there in 1775. Frances, believed to be a daughter, and her husband Edmund Butler, settled on land just south of John Cooke in Cumberland on Bad Luck Creek. William may have stayed as he died about 1752 "of St Martin's Parish, Hanover". He patented land in Cumberland on Guinea Creek same day as bro John, 24 Mar 1740.

Also, as much as I would like for it to be true, there is still no proof that John & Mary Hill Cooke are THIS Abraham's parents....but I am working on it!
