Mrs. Hugh Albin
Funeral services for Mrs. Hugh Albin were held at one o'clock Thursday afternoon at the Community Methodist church.
Mrs. Albin was killed when a streamlined Missouri pacific passenger train crashed into the car she was driving on a crossing in Holden last week.
The services were conducted by the Rev. E Austin Gilbert. A quartet composed of Mrs. HK Downing, Miss Lettie Turner, Carl Tillman and BA Ficke, accompanied by Mrs. E Austin Gilbert, sang "Going Down the Valley", No Disappointment in Heaven", and "Will the Circle be Unbroken." Pallbearers were Milfred Ficke, LR Byram, Alfred Polzin, Leslie Hacker, Leland Pemberton, and Edgar Davis. Burial was in the Holden cemetery.
Flora Pearl Moore was born January 11, 1908 at Pittsburg, Kan., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dell Moore. When a small child she moved with her parents to Johnson county where her mother died a few years later. She was married to Hugh Albin October 22, 1927. To this union five children were born.
She is survived by her husband and their five children, Margaret Lou, Mary Sue, Robert, Frank, Billy Howard and John Carl; her father and step-mother, Mr. and Mrs. Dell Moore of Chilhowee; and a brother, Carl Moore, of Kansas City.
Among those from a distance who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Victor Bryan and daughter, Mrs. Ira Jenkins, Miss Beulah Jenkins, and Mrs. Maggie Nunn, all of Kansas City; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Everetts of Garden City; Mr. and Mrs. JR Billingsley of Rich Hill; Mr. and Mrs. Waldo Hunter, Mr. and Mrs. Alpha Moore, Mr. and Mrs. LE Preston and daughter, Mary Anna of Leeton; Mr. and Mrs. Milt Miller and sons, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Tillman, Mr. and Mrs. Harless Tillman, Mr. and Mrs. Gray and son and Mr. and Mrs. Beecher Bradley of Clinton.
