Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Laufersweiler Funeral Home with Rev. Ronald J. Naser, assistant pastor at Corpus Christi Church, officiating burial will be in the Methodist Cemetery at Duncombe.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 1 p.m. Tuesday.
Surviving are the widow, Ellen, and brother, Harley Nichols, Duncombe.
Mr. Nichols was born at Duncombe and attended Duncombe schools. As a young man he entered into the construction business with his father, the late John W. Nichols.
Mr. Nichols married Miss. Ellen Young in 1940, and they established their home in Fort Dodge.
For a number of years, he had been a brick mason working in the Fort Dodge area.
He was a member of the Bricklayers Union.
