Born in Sterling, Utah to Ray and Verl D. Christensen Chapman on April 19, 1924. Merlene married Shirley J. Bartholomew on November 25, 1942 in Manti.
Survived by her children, Eugene (Sheila) Bartholomew, Bruce (Arlene) Bartholomew, Sherry (Steve) Anderson, Kendall (Catherine); 15 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 13, 2009 at 12 Noon in the Mayfield LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the Ward Chapel in Mayfield on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and again on Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Burial will be in the Manti City Cemetery.
