Funeral services were held at First Baptist Church in Rule at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 26, 1993, with the Rev. J.R. Williams officiating. Interment was at Rule Cemetery, directed by McCauley-Robison Funeral Directors.
She was the daughter of Reginald Edward and Katherine Johnson Engdahl. She was born in Georgetown, Texas on August 1, 1898, and grew up there.
She married Henry J. Cloud November 11, 1916 in Rule. They had four children: Merle M. Cloud, Joe B. Cloud, Helen Cloud Westbrook and Harold J. Cloud. Mr. and Mrs. Cloud were farmers, were members of First Baptist Church of Rule and lived in Rule all of their married lives.
Mrs. Cloud was a past president and Life Member of the Philadelphian Club. She also was a long-time member of the Rule Garden Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry J. Cloud, on July 25, 1945; and her son, Harold J. Cloud. Her son Lt. Merle M. Cloud, U.S.A.C., was missing in action during World War II.
Survivors include two sons, Joe B. Cloud of Rule and Helen Cloud Westbrook of Tulsa, Okla.: five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers. Mrs. Cloud would have wished contributions be made to Rule Community Veterans Memorial Foundation. Box 10. Rule. TX 79547.
