McMinnville resident and Warren County native Clayton Neal Gribble, 78, died Aug. 11 at Baptist Hospital.

A retired plant manager with Oster Corporation and a retired Church of Christ minister, he was a member of the Church of Christ and was the son of Perry A. and Onia Belle Glenn Gribble.

He is survived by his wife, June Dove Gribble; daughters and sons-in-law, Patsy and John Baker, Gail and Jackie Smoot, all of McMinnville; grandchildren and their spouses, Brad and Marcy Bolding of Rock Island, Abi Barnes of Nashville, Clay and Misty Bolding of Rock Island, Jenny and Dell Watson of McMinnville; step-grandchildren and their spouses, Teresa and Brad Pepper of McMinnville, Suzanne Baker of Boston, Mass., Crystal and Brian Hewitt of Morrison, and Scott Baker of Ft. Myers, Fla.; great-grandchildren, Justin Barnes and Briley Bolding, both of Rock Island, Kansas Pennington-Hennessee, Jailyn Bolding and Dellan Watson, all of McMinnville; step-great-grandchildren, T.J. and Torye Rigsby of Rock Island, Kelsey and Wesley Pepper, and Lucas Hewitt, all of Morrison; brother and sister-in-law, Newton and Polly Gribble of McMinnville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Johnnie Slatton, Perry Jean and Wayne Womack, all of McMinnville, Laura and Wymer Wiser of Murfreesboro; several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Central Church of Christ with Kirk Brothers and Wymer Wiser officiating. Burial will follow at Old Bybee Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. today at High's.

High Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
