McMinnville resident and Warren County native Perry Jean Womack, age 78, was born March 29, 1931 and died March 9, 2010 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following a two-year illness.

A homemaker and member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Perry Andrew and Onia Belle Glenn Gribble. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Clayton N. Gribble; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jean and Nellie Gribble LePere and Johnnie and Lue Slatton; grandson, Jarrod Womack; brother-in-law, C. Wymer Wiser; sister-in-law, Pauline Golden Gribble and nieces, Marlan Sue Gribble and Trudy Z. Gribble.

She was married May 5, 1951 to Wayne Womack of McMinnville. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Ralph and Chris Womack of Campaign, TN; daughter and son-in-law, Mia-Lan and Vernon Powers of McMinnville; six grandchildren and their spouses, Adam and Karrie Aycock of Fredricksburg, VA, April and Paul Bryant of Cleveland, TN, Lucas Womack of Chattanooga, TN, Jacob Webb of Quebeck, TN, Angie and John Tune of Bellevue, TN and Keith Powers of Hendersonville, TN; eleven great-grandchildren; brother, Newton Gribble of Cookeville, TN; sister, Laura Wiser of Murfreesboro, TN; several nieces and nephews and sister-in-law, June Gribble of McMinnville.

Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 11, 2010 in High's Chapel with Wayne Cantrell and Charles Pearson officiating. Burial followed in the Salem Cemetery.
