ALMA—The funeral for William Palmer Ball, 87, McFarland, will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Hasenbank and Lamar Funeral Home, Alma, the Rev. Vern Bowers officiating. Burial will be in Brookville Cemetery.
Mr. William died Friday in Topeka. He was born Nov. 5, 1892, near Rosehill, Va. He had retired from the Rock Island Railroad after 40 years of service. His wife, Ellen, died June 28, 1978.
Surviving are three sons, John K., Mission Viejo, Calif.; Robert E., Manhattan, and Walter N., DeKalb, Ill.; three daughters, Mrs. Trudie Bay, Carson City, Nev.; Mrs. Geneva Heiman, Durango, Colo., and Mrs. Gloria Tefft, Rolla, Mo.; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to the American Heart Fund.
