Helen Clark Belcher, 81, of Charleston died Tuesday, Sept. 27, at Quarry Manor after a short illness.
She was a retired secretary from E.I. DuPont Belle Plant and was a 1942 graduate of Dupont High School. Helen was a member of Spring Fork Missionary Baptist Church and of the Order of the Eastern Star Salina Chapter 81, Malden.
Her husband, Clyde E. Belcher, preceded her in death.
Surviving Helen are her sister, Carolyn Bachner; sisters-in-law, Lorena Barnhouse and Freda Hutton of Charleston, Phyllis Patton of Ravenswood and Joan Ratliff of Fairdale; nephew, Stephen Clark Bachner; other nieces and nephews; and special friends, Bob and Diane Brown of Charleston.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 30, at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, 4203 Salines Drive, Malden, with the Rev. Clarence Hutton and the Rev. Mike Long officiating. The burial will follow the service in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.
Family and friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
