Frank age 28 furniture finisher married Maggie Renihan age 19 on 8/24/1889 in Grand Rapids, Kent County MI, by Campbell Fair Rector of St. Mark's Church with witnesses Mary Fair and C. Caulkins. Got license same day married. Maggie's father passed away when she was @ 16. See marriage record on familysearch.org.

Returning from their honeymoon they rented a farm in Milltown near Frank's parents and their first 2 children were born in Milltown. Possibly as wedding present his parents purchased a farm 3/31/1891 in Hamorton, PA, called Lawnwold (who named it & when?), Frank may not have moved onto the farm until @ 1893 where his family resided until 2/4/1947, over 50 years.

In 1971 land/house was purchased & 1973 Kendal at Longwood, a Quaker Retirement Community was formed. Background: In 1963, Philadelphia Yearly Meeting appointed a Committee on the Care of Aging Friends to examine Quaker facilities for the elderly. Four years later, the first Quaker-sponsored lifecare community in the Delaware Valley was built by Gwynedd Friends Meeting at Foulkeways. Kendal at Longwood was the third such Quaker-sponsored project. Under the auspices of Friends Hall at West Chester, a committee met to investigate sites, and were able to purchase 77.6 acres at Longwood (actually Hamorton) in Kennett Square area in 1971. They formed a new corporation, Kendal at Longwood, in 1973.
