Sadly her father died in 1886 when she was @ 14 or 16 years old & her mother died in 1894 when she was @ 22 or 24 years old @ 5 years after she married and moved to PA.
Married August 24, 1889 to Frank Ezra Hoopes (1861-1942) by Campbell Fair Rector of St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Witnesses Mary Fair (Rector's wife?) & ? Calkins. Frank was 28 years old so 9 or 12 years her senior. She was 19 years old (according to marriage record) or 17 when she married (maybe they fudged it to 19 because she was underage). Marriage record says Frank was a Furniture Finisher. Son born 6/9/1890, @ 9 months after she married.
Her father born in Ireland @ 1830 and mother was born in Ireland @ 1835, her parents lived in NY and her oldest brother was born there in 1854 & then family moved to Grand Rapids when he was young. Father may have 5/28/1849, age 20, been aboard the ship Lesmahagan from Liverpool England to Boston MA. OR 1851 about Andrew Foster Liverpool to NY.
