Sallie A. "Sally" Hay Dotson was married to Harry B. "Bud" Dotson. Their children include: Addie Broadus, Aline Smith, Estelle Wrenck, Hattie Dotson, James "Jimmy" Dotson, and Alfa Dotson.

MRS. DOTSON IS BURIED AT BLACK JACK

Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Azalee Dotson were conducted from the chapel of Heartfield Funeral Home Thursday afternoon at 4:00 o'clock with the Rev. Merrill Mitchell of Bryan officiating.

Interment followed in Suggs Cemetery at the Black Jack community under the direction of Heartfield Funeral Home. Pallbearers at the service were J. T. White, James A. Dotson, Mack Hoyt, Leonard Nunley, Emery Nunley and George Smith.

Mrs. Dotson passed away at the family residence on April 9th at 10:30 p.m. She had been in ill health for a long time. Born near San Antonio on January 22, 1880, she was 72 years, two months and 18 days of age at death.

She had made Hearne her home for 53 years, and she had gained the admiration, love and respect of all who knew her.

Mrs. Dotson is survived by one son, Alfa Dotson of Hearne; three daughters, Mrs. Karl Wenck, Mrs. Ruby Smith and Mrs. Aubry Broadus, all of Hearne, one brother, Walter A. Hay of San Antonio and seven grandchildren.
