Born on one of the Banda (Spice) Islands, where the population had been more or less extirpated by the Dutch occupators. Wife of the Calvinist clergyman Lucas Bosch, from Culemborg. He developed his conversion activities in Nagapatnam from 1677 to 1682, repatriated in 1683 and continued his career in the Netherlands until his death on March 9th, 1723, at the age of 77 years.
