Loreen, the daughter of Harry H. Weller and Marietta Elizabeth Coffing, had five sisters, Mildred Marie (Zimmerman), Ruth Elizabeth (Guyer), Bernice Irene (Zartman Pass Shelton), Helen Leah (Talbott Irvine) and Ida May (Heckathorn); and two brothers, John H. Robert "Bob" and Harry Joshua Jr.

Loreen married Earl Nickell, 23 Jun 1923, in St. Joseph, Berrien Co., MI. They had three sons, Marshall Wayne (died as an infant), Willis E. and Cecil Dean.

Alice L. Nickell, Nov. 12, 1906 - Feb. 13, 1994, Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Foster & Good Funeral Home, Rochester for Alice Loreen Nickell, 87, 203 E. McHenry St., Urbana, Ill. The Rev. Jack Hartman will officiate. Burial will be in the Rochester I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today and after noon Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Nickell, formerly of Rochester, died at 8 p.m. Sunday (February 13, 1994) at her (son's) home. She had been in failing health since Nov. 1992. She was born in Macy to Harry H. and Marietta Elizabeth Coffing Weller. On June 23, 1923 in St. Joseph, Mich, she married Earl Nickell who died Dec. 1, 1964. She was a homemaker and member of Grace United Methodist Church in Rochester. Surviving are two sons, Willis E. Nickell, Clarksville; Cecil D. Nickell, Urbana, Ill.; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a brother, John R. Weller, Fremont, Ohio. Preceding in death were five sisters, Mildred Zimmerman, Ruth Guyer, Helen Irvine, Bernice Shelton and May Heckathorn and a brother, Harry Weller.
