Nellie Bernece "Dude" Eaves, 80, died at 9:23 a.m. Aug. 27, 2006, at her home in Sikeston.
Born Jan. 30, 1926, in Cape Girardeau, MO, to the late Fred and Ella Liary McAnelly, she was a homemaker and a member of Garden Ridge General Baptist Church of Bell City, MO.
On Nov. 22, 1941, in Benton, MO, she married William Paul Eaves who preceded her in death on Aug. 3, 2006.
One sister, Rosie Morse also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Pauline and Harold Uelsmann; one brother, Paul McAnelly; two sisters, Geneva Statler and Pauline Gadey; two grandchildren, David Paul Uelsmann. and Michael Gene Uelsmann; and one great-grandchild, Yvette Renee Uelsmann.
Visitation was held at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel where services were held. The Rev. Bill Fox, pastor of Garden Ridge General Baptist Church of Bell City, officiated.
Burial followed in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
