LOWER BEAVER CREEK.
Sunday, June 3rd, at five o'clock occurred the funeral of John Isaacson, at the Lower Beaver Creek Cemetery. Mr. Isaacson came from Finland in 1880 and has lived in the Missouri River Valley almost ever since that time. He is well known as a fisherman. For a few years past his health has not been good. He went to Helena two weeks before his death in the hope of receiving medical aid, but he continued to grow worse until his death, Saturday evening, June 2, at the age of fifty-eight years. On account of the high water the coffin and grief stricken family had to be brought over a mile of water in skiffs. In the midst of the journey a severe wind and rain storm came up, lashing the water, into the boats and making the scene a sadder one. They were met at the edge of the water by teams and went from there directly to the cemetery. He leaves a wife to mourn his loss.
