Injuries Prove Fatal To Norman Ninmer Of Kiel
Kiel—(Special)—Norman Ninmer, 28, died Thursday at the Plymouth hospital from injuries sustained when he was caught under the wheels of a gravel truck near here Thursday morning. Mr. Ninmer's legs were severely lacerated and torn from the knee to the hip. The accident occurred at the Alvin Pagel pit two and a half miles east of Kiel as Ninmer, employed on a WPA project, attempted to board the cab of a truck as it was moving, lost his hold and was dragged several feet under the vehicle. Herman Schaferkort, driver of the truck, said he was not aware Ninmer was trying to get on and immediately stopped his truck when he heard the man screaming.
Mr. Ninmer was born May 14, 1910 on a farm in the town of Schleswig the son of Otto and Dora Ninmer. He was married on Dec. 31, 1932 to Miss Olive Kaltenbrun of the town of Liberty. The year after their marriage the couple moved to Kiel where they have resided since. He is survived by his wife, a daughter at home, his parents and a brother, Harvey at Kiel.
Funeral services will be held Monday at the C. J. Meiselwitz Funeral home here. The Rev. E. L. Worthman will officiate and burial will be made in Union cemetery near Louis Corners.
