Mrs. Nellie Schilling, 80, of 2333 Van Buren Street, New Holstein, died Thursday at Chilton Village Nursing Home where she had been a patient for two months.
She was born in the Town of Schleswig, January 13, 1900, a daughter of the late Gustav and Alice Grant Grabs. She attended schools at Louis Corners and was a housewife all her adult life. She was married to Walter Schilling June 16, 1920 in the Town of Schleswig. He died February 2, 1975. She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, New Holstein and the American Legion Auxiliary. She also was a volunteer for the Red Cross Blood Bank for many years.
Survivors include one son, Clifford, New Holstein; one daughter, Mrs. Robert Kelm, New Holstein; five grandchildren; one great grandchild; one brother, Herbert Grabs of Arcadia, California; and one sister, Mrs. Lucy Wescott of Houston, Texas.
Funeral services were held at the Erbe-Evjen Funeral Home, New Holstein, with the Rev. Albert Borns, pastor of St. John's United Church of Christ officiating. Burial was in Union Cemetery at Louis Corners.
