Funeral services were held Tuesday for Herman Strade, 82, a resident of the Sheboygan Retirement Home, who died Saturday at his former home in the Town of Schleswig.
The Rev. Adalbert Schultz, pastor of Zion Lutheran Church, Louis Corners, officiated at the 1:30 p.m. service at the Meiselwitz Funeral Home, Kiel.
Burial was in the Union Cemetery, Town of Schleswig.
Born on September 1, 1888, Mr. Strade was a son of the late August and Wilhelmina Drake Strade.
He married the former Irma Willey of Markesan on August 9, 1931. The couple located on a farm in the Town of Schleswig.
A veteran of World War I, Mr. Strade was employed as a carpenter by Green Bay construction firm until his retirement. Mrs. Strade died in December, 1970.
Survivors include a brother, Otto, of Route 2, Kiel, and nieces and nephews.
