Brillion friends of the Weiss family were shocked to learn of the suicide of Mrs. Frank (sic) Strassmann of the town of New Holstein last Monday.
The deceased was formerly Miss Lena Weiss, a Brillion girl, who was well and highly esteemed here. She was married at St. Nazianz and about a year ago the family removed to a farm about a mile west of New Holstein.
Family troubles are said to have been the cause of her rash act, which was committed Monday while her husband was away from home. She drank carbolic acid. Besides the husband, she is survived by six children. The funeral was held Thursday at New Holstein.
