LILLIE THEEL

Mrs. John W. Theel, 67, of R. 2, Kiel, died early today at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient two weeks.
The former Lillie Markwardt, she was born in Two Rivers, Aug. 2, 1895, a daughter of the late Henry and Minnie Markwardt.
As a child she moved with her family to a farm in the Louis Corners area east of Kiel. She attended school at Louis Corners and was married to Mr. Theel, Dec. 2, 1914, in Zion Lutheran Church there.
The couple operated the Theel home farm east of Kiel until retiring in 1946.Mrs. Theel was a member of Unity Christian Fellowship Church in Sheboygan.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are three sons, Eldon of Fond du Lac, Elroy of Elkhart Lake, and Harvey of Rural Kiel; 13 grandchildren; a brother, Melvin, Sturgeon Bay, and a sister, Mrs. Waldo Graf, Rural Kiel.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Meiselwitz Funeral Home in Kiel, with the Rev. LaVerna Bauers, pastor of Unity Church, officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Town of Schleswig. - May 15, 1963
