Julius Westpfahl, (sic) a well-known resident of the town of Meeme, passed away at the age of 71, at his home last Sunday, after a brief illness, of old age.
The deceased was born in Germany, June 14, 1848, and came to this country with his parents at the age of 29, the family settling on a farm near Franklin.
For the past 17 years he lived on an 80-acre farm in Meeme with three of his brother, all of them unmarried. He leaves four brothers, one of whom is a carpenter residing at Sheboygan.
The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon, Rev. Helm of Schwarzwald officiating. Interment was in the Union Cemetery near Louis Corners.
