JOHANNA ZORN

Mrs. Zorn Dies at Home of Daughter
At the home of her daughter, Mrs. Louis Voigt, Collins, Mrs. Johanna W. Zorn, 87, widow of Rudolph Zorn, passed away.
Born in Uckermark, Germany, Sept. 28, 1849, Mrs. Zorn, nee
Heidemann, came to this country in 1852 with her parents, who located in New York for four years before coming to Wisconsin in the year 1856, at which time they located on a farm in the town of Schleswig, now owned by a nephew of the deceased.
Her marriage to Rudolph Zorn of the town of Schieswig was
solemnized on Jan. 30, 1868, and the couple lived on the Zorn homestead near Louis Corners, which is now owned by Armie Voigt.
Mr. Zorn passed away Sept. 26, 1916, and since that time Mrs. Zorn had been making her home with her children.
Of the seven children born to the union, two passed away in infancy and a daughter, Mrs. Theodore Voigt, on May 29, 1935.
The Survivors are: three daughters, Mrs. Louis Voigt, Collins, Mrs. Rudolph Ruppenthal, Hilbert, and Mrs. George Mattes, Rockville; and two sons, George and John Zorn, both of here. Surviving also are 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the C. J. Meiselwitz Funeral Home Tuesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Gerhard Schaefer of the Collins Lutheran church, of which Mrs. Zorn was a member, officiating. Interment was made in the Union cemetery near Louis Corners.
