Sarah Goodnight (McGowan) Stockton is my 3rd great grandmother. My husband, Kenneth Henderson, and I (Mary Ellen Fallwell Henderson) made this memorial marker for her and one for her husband, Daniel Morgan Stockton, in 2014. With the help of my 1st cousin, Janet Feezell Basnett and her husband, Gary. these memorial stones were placed in the Stockton Cemetery under the direction of the caretaker of the cemetery and a cousin, Freda Beisner.

Daniel Morgan Stockton and Sarah Goodnight (McGowan) Stockton are my 3rd great grandparents. Sarah was said to be 1/2 Native American (Cherokee). I made the frame for this photo many years ago, and I believe her birthday is incorrect on this frame. Everyone seems to have it as March 28, 1793.
