Mrs. Jennie Golden Expires at Hospital

Mrs. Jennie M. Golden, 85, died Thursday, March 17, at Sacred Heart hospital where she had been a patient for a week. She was a Le Mars resident the past 55 years.

Born October 1, 1870, at Sebula, Iowa, Mrs. Golden was the daughter of Mrs. and Mrs. Paul Roberts. Her marriage to Thomas J. Golden took place August 11, 1890 at Hudson, S.D. She had made her home with a son, Raymond, in Le Mars the past 14 years.

Survivors, besides her son, Raymond, are another son, Francis C. of Omaha; a sister, Mrs. Mabel Talbott of Jeffers, Minn.; three grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Her husband, her parents, two sisters, and three brothers preceded her in death.

Funeral services was held Saturday at 9 a.m. at Saint James Catholic church. Rev. L.J. LaVelle officiated. Burial was at Calvary cemetery under the direction of Luken's funeral home.

Pallbearers were Ed Spindler, Jack Traufler, Al Meis, Chas. F. Smith, James Holton, and James P. Kelley
