JOHN BUNGE
John R. Bunge, 69, of 729 Sheboygan St., Kiel, a retired farmer, died unexpectedly at his home this morning. He was born April 1, 1897, in Kiel, a son of Emma and the late Herman Bunge who later moved to a farm in the Town of New Holstein. He attended school in Kiel. On Feb. 1, 1921, he was married to Rose Hartman of Kiel at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. The couple located on a farm west of Kiel in the Town of New Holstein which they operated until three years ago when they retired and moved to Kiel. Mr. Bunge was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Church and the Holy Name Society of the Church.
Survivors are his wife; three daughters, Sister M. Rosita of Algoma, Miss Lucille Bunge of Kiel and Mrs. Elmer (Mildred) Kuhn of rural Elkhart Lake; four grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Emma Bunge of Kiel and two sisters Marielle Ramminger of Kiel and Mrs. Elmer Schneider of Plymouth. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Kiel, following brief rites at the Meiselwitz Funeral home at 9:30. The Rev. George Kiefer, pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Friday.
The Holy Name Society will recite the Rosary there at 8 p.m. Friday.
