Nancy passed away surrounded by her children after a 3 and a half year battle with cancer. She was born March 27, 1933, to the late George Robert Cameron and Alta Stearns
in Fostoria, Ohio. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Douglas Stearns Cameron.
Nancy was a 1951 graduate of Fostoria High School and attended Michigan State University where she joined Delta Zeta sorority and majored in hotel administration.
On Sept. 25, 1954, She married Thomas M. Gray who passed away Nov. 28, 2000. Besides her many friends, she is survived by daughters, Teri (Morten) Hansen, Fostoria, Lisa Jane (Matthew) Fisher, Westerville, and Cami (Brian) Winter, Avon Lake; and son Gordon Thomas (Christiana) Gray,
Huntersville, N.C. She also leaves the legacy of ten beautiful grandchildren, Gaert and Miikala Hansen, Amanda
and Stuart Fisher, Thomas Fabbro, Doug and Lee Winter, and Stephen, Austin, and Emma Gray.
Nancy was very active throughout her life. Her family always came first but was followed closely by her many friends whom she loved so dearly. During Gray Printing's former years she served as a member of its Board of Directors and president of the Gray Foundation. She felt the employees of Gray Printing were an integral part of her extended family.
Nancy was a member of Eastern Star, Fostoria Hospital Guild and one of the founders of The Fostoria Footlighters.
She served as elder at The First Presbyterian Church, and was a charter member of the Board of the Greater Fostoria Community Foundation, and served on the Fostoria Arts Council. She was a past board member of the YMCA of Fostoria, and a member of the Fostoria Country Club, the Catawba Island Club and Crew's Nest. Nancy and her husband loved the water and spent many summers at Catawba Island, boating on lake Erie. They were a wonderful couple who thoroughly enjoyed visits with their many friends. Nancy was the eternal hostess, whose mother always said, "Nancy, won't you ever sit down?"
