There is a memorial in France dedicated to the men buried at this common grave and five others from the 1st Platoon, C Co., 712th Tank Battalion. They were killed at Hill 122. This grave marker constitutes a grave for four of the five crewmen in the number 2 tank nicknamed, "Incinerator". The fifth crew member, Laverne Patton, is buried at his hometown. This tank was the only one to have lost it's entire crew that day at the hill. Abe Taylor was originally the commander of another tank but was switched prior to this battle.
Crew members were:
Commander: Abe Taylor
Driver: Paul B. Farrell
Assistant driver: Laverne Patton
Gunner : Harold Gentle
Loader: Eugene Tannler

Paul was born, raised and lived in the Boston, Ma. area all of his life. He worked as a Machinist for Daniel Machine & Die prior to serving. Paul left behind his wife Rhoda and their year old son Paul Jr. His last place of residence was Portland Street, Haverhill, MA.

He was and is missed dearly by his family past and present.
