Carl I. Bader, 81, Baltimore, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2002 at his residence.
He was a devoted member of First English Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lancaster; awarded county and state Conservation Farmer of the year, Junior Chamber of Commerce "Farmer of the Year" award state and county winner, Liberty Union school board, and life member of Carroll Lions Club where he received many district awards and served many offices. He was a member of Fairfield County Landmark Board, County Soil and Water Conservation Board, Farm Bureau, Milk Producers, Swine Producers, Beef Producers, Liberty Union Young and Adult Farmers, Fairfield County Producers and 4-H Cloverleaf Club Leader.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Carlene Ann and Michael Ayers; grandchildren, Michelle Hines, Nicholle (Ryan) Wagner; great-grandchildren, Cody Hines, Sidney Wilson, Christine Wagner and Michael Wagner; sisters, Dortha (Ted) Gilbert, Frances (Robert) Mouch, Miriam (Howard) Elder, Rita (John) Ricketts; brothers, Walter (JoAnn) Bader, Kenneth (Linda) Bader; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Bader; and parents, Troy and Clara Bader.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Halterman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home with Pastor Lawrence "Bud" Myers officiating. Burial will be at Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
Carroll Lions Club will hold services Tuesday evening.
The family suggests contributions be made in his memory to Central Ohio Diabetes Association, 1580 King Ave., Columbus 43212.
