W.H. Cogdal Passes Away
Died, of apoplexy, at the late home of his son, John Cogdal, on East Eighth avenue, Monday, July 20th, at 4:00 o'clock p.m. W.H. Cogdal, aged sixty-three years.

Mr. Cogdal, who has made his home with his son sice the death of his wife three years ago, had recently returned from a visit to Illinois to attend the funeral of his son, who was accidently killed here about two weeks ago by a traction engine, and while he was not in the best of health, none of his family expected fatal results from his illness. Mr. Cogdal was a consistent member of the Presbyterian church and died in the tenets of that faith. He leaves a son. W.H. Cogdal, of Medicine Lodge, and a daughter, who is now engaged in missionary work in China.

The funeral services were held at the Presbyterian church at 9:00 a.m. Thursday, conducted by Rev. Stophlett and the local G.A.R. camp, of which order Mr. Cogdal was a member. The remains were laid to rest in Union Cemetery.

Mr. Cogdal was a respected citizen, a consistent Christian gentleman, and one that any community might well mourn the departure of. He leaves a wide circle of friends who sincerely sympathize with the relatives who have sustained so great a loss.

H.T. Cogdal and wife, of Medicine Lodge, arrived Wednesday morning and were present at the funeral, but the daughter in far away China, of course, could not be here to attend the last sad rites of her father.
