Ida May Weller Heckathorn, was born to Harry H. Weller and Marietta Elizabeth Coffing and had seven brothers and sisters, Mildred Marie (Zimmerman), Ruth Elizabeth (Guyer), Bernice Irene (Zartman Pass Shelton), Helen Leah (Talbott Irvine), Alice Loreen (Nickell), John H. Robert and Harry Joshua Jr. She married Lester Jay Heckathorn, 6 May 1924, St. Joseph, Berrien Co., MI. They had two children, Louis Jay (died in WWII) and Ladonna May (Palmer Nicklaus).

Mrs. May HECKATHORN, 61, R.R. 4, Rochester, died unexpectedly at 10 a.m. today shortly after being admitted to Woodlawn hospital.
Born Aug. 10, 1908 near Macy, she was the daughter of Harry and Elizabeth COFFING WELLER. Her marriage was May 6, 1924, at St. Joseph, Mich., to Lester J. HECKATHORN, who survives. A lifetime resident of Fulton county, she was a member of the First Christian church.
Surviving with the husband are one daughter, Mrs. Tom (Ladonna) NICKLAUS, R.R. 4, Rochester; four sisters, Mrs. Mildred ZIMMERMAN, Peru; Mrs. Ray (Bernice) SHELTON, Rochester; Mrs. Ernest (Helen) IRVIN, R.R. 2, Rochester, and Mrs. Loreen NICKELL, Rochester; two brothers, Robert [WELLER], Fremont, O., and Harry [WELLER], Marion, O.; two granddaughters, and one grandson. Preceding in death were a son, Louis [HECKATHORN], in 1945, and a sister.
Final rites will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Foster & Good funeral home with the Rev. Josef PALAT officiating. Burial will be in the Rochester I.O.O.F. cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 12:30 p.m. Thursday.
