And a brother John was born October 19, 1866 and passed from this life on September 19, 1937 , he is buried at Saint Lawrence Cemetery, in New Hamburg, Missouri.
George grew up in Scott County, living in New Hamburg for several years, on Nov. 28,1886 he married Mary Emelia Diebold they were the parents of one daughter Rosa, and five sons Ignatz James, John George, Charley, George John and Theon Edward. George and Mary moved their family to Laclede County,Missouri about 1909 when they purchased a farm in the Prosperine area where they lived until their death.
