"Bub" Coltrane was president of Concord National Bank. It was the oldest National Bank in North Carolina. It later became "First Charter National Bank". The name first Charter came from the Mecklenburg Declaration of Independence in May 1775, one year before the American Declaration of Independence in Philadelphia on July 4, 1776. First Charter has since merged with Fifth Third Bank.
Bub was also with the Concord Telephone Company.
