After the death of his father, he and Elizabeth settled briefly in Johnson, Lamoille County, Vermont, where his mother died. They next settled in Woodford County, Illinois, where his son Augustus was a Baptist minister, and where Augustus died and is buried.
Finally, Leland and Elizabeth, along with Augustus' only surviving child, Alonzo Leonard Cramb, settled in Saint Cloud.

DIED
--------
At St. Cloud, on the morning of the 27th inst., Deacon LELAND CRAM, in his seventieth year.
Deacon Cram, whose death is thus announced, was one of the oldest settlers in Stearns County. Moving here from the State of Illinois, he took, under the pre-emption law, eighty acres adjoining the original townsite of St. Cloud, part of which has since been laid out into "Cram's Addition," and upon which he has since resided. Some two years ago his general health began to fail, and of late he has been helpless. Of frugal, industrious habit, and strictly upright in all business transactions, he had the good will and respect of all his acquaintances. His funeral, which took place on Monday afternoon, was largely attended. He leaves a widow now living at St. Cloud, and one son residing in New Hampshire.
