Catherine Morgan Harper, wife of John Harper, deputy state mine inspector, passed away while undergoing an operation at a local hospital Thursday afternoon. The deceased had been in ill health for some time and the operation was resorted to as a final hope for saving her life.
Mrs. Harper was 58 years of age at the time of her death. She had resided in Globe for several years coming to this city from Victor, Colorado. Besides the husband, Mrs. Harper is survived by five children, three grown sons and two daughters. Archie Harper and Howard Harper reside at Vallejo, California and John H. Harper, Mrs. M. H. O'Neal and Miss Pearl Harper reside in this city.
Archie L. Harper and Howard Harper are expected to arrive in the city Sunday evening. No funeral arrangements will be made pending the arrival of the sons.
Mrs. Harper was well known in this city where she was active in lodge and church circles. A large circle of friends sympathize with the family in their hour of bereavement.
