Mrs. Maledon wife of George Maledon, died Sunday afternoon at three o'clock at their home three miles east of town. The remains were buried Tuesday in the Wilson Graveyard. The deceased was a member of the Baptist Church and had been a reside of this section for some time, having come here from Fort Smith, where Mr. Maledon achieved no little notoriety as the hanging of more persons than any other one man in the country. (He was the Hangman for Judge Parker's court.) The News edxtends sympathy to the bereaved family.
