Alma Schweder

Funeral services will be held from Ferries Funeral Home here Friday at 10:30 a.m., for Mrs. Alma E. Schweder, 92, longtime area resident who died Wednesday morning at Eventide of Sheridan.

Mrs. Schweder had been a resident at Eventide since 1967. She was born Feb. 5, 1879, at Union, Neb., and moved to Lead, S. D., with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Hastings, shortly thereafter.

On April 18, 1900, she married Henry G. Schweder and they moved to this region, homesteading on Badger Creek. He preceded her in death as did two sons, her parents, four sisters, and three brothers.

Mr. and Mrs. Schweder moved to Sheridan in 1943, and she had lived here since.

Mrs. Schweder was a member of the First Methodist Church here, the Pythian Sisters and was a member of the Royal Neighbors for more than 50 years.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. N. A. Nelson, 824 Delphi; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Florence Schweder, 625 Lewis, three step grandchildren and nine step great-grandchildren.

Interment will be in Bellevue Cemetery. The Rev. Larry Brynell will officiate at services.
