Janana "Jane" Walker, age 87, was born February 12, 1922 in Fort Gibson, OK and died Friday morning, April 10, 2009 at Muskogee Regional Medical Center. Later she was employed by the Bureau of Indian Affairs in the Muskogee Federal Building where she worked in plant management for many years until her retirement. Jane was a faithful, dedicated member of the First United Methodist Church in Fort Gibson, serving in many ways, including secretary of the Class of Ruth Sunday School class. She was also a member of Fort Gibson American Legion Auxiliary. She will always be remembered for her devotion, concern and dedication to homeless animals.
