Adolph House, 91, died April 8, 2009, at Pickens County Medical Center. Graveside services are Saturday at 11 a.m. at Greenhill Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Timothy Hoff officiating. Skelton Funeral Home of Reform is in charge of arrangements. Mr. House was born March 21, 1918, in Pickens County, Ala., to the late A.J. and Lizzie Alexander House. He was a retired employee of the V.A. Hospital and a U.S. Army veteran, having served in the 101st Airborne Division 503 as a medic and paratrooper. He was a well-known resident of Pickens County. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Laura Crowder House; three sisters and three brothers. He is survived by his daughter, Wanda House of Santa Cruz, Calif.; and brother, Raymond House of Reform. Pallbearers will be Herbert, Adam and Andrew House, Robbie Sanford, James Pate and Jeff Kyles.
