Forest City News, August 7, 1913:

Mrs Reynolds was born in Glamorganshire, Wales on February 2, 1829, the daughter of Mr and Mrs Benjamin Daniels, pioneers of the colony of Welsh Hill. When a small child she came with her parents to America and settled in Carbon county (near Hazleton), PA, where she spent her girlhood. In 1843 she was united in marriage to Thomas Reynolds whose death occurred about eight years ago. In 1860 they moved to Welsh Hill where they resided until they took up their home in Forest City.

Jane, widow of the late Thomas Reynolds, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Reese of Gibson Township, on Saturday, August 2, 1913. She is survived by three sons: Benjamin T of Montrose; George H and Edward A, of Uniondale; and three daughters, Mrs John D Jones of Welsh Hill; Mrs John Reese of Gibson; and Mrs William T Davis of Forest City.

The funeral was held Monday from the Welsh Hill Congregational Church. Rev D D Jenkins of Forest City assisted by Revs T S Lewis, pastor of the Congregational and Mr Davis of the local Presbyterian church. The pall bearers were nephews of the deceased. They were John F Reynolds and William Reynolds, Carbondale; John Tobias, Wilkes-Barre; Benjamin and John Maxey of Forest City, and B D Reynolds of South Gibson.

The flower bearers were Dr D J Reese and wife, of Harrisburg; Mr and Mrs Hugh T Williams, Uniondale. Interment was made in the family plot in the Welsh Hill cemetery.
