Buddy Burke and the Rev. Darryl Baker officiating. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home and go in procession, leaving for the cemetery at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be nephews.

CASTLEWOOD, Va. – Ruby Hale "Granny" Baker, 91, died Saturday, April 18, 2009, in Russell County Medical Center, Lebanon, Va.
She was born in Castlewood, daughter of the late Larkin and Elizabeth Bailey Hale. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Baker; two daughters, Katherine Wampler and Edith Edna Baker; one son, Robert Baker; one grandson, Maxwell "Mackie" Pierce Wampler; two sisters, Mary Caroline Boothe and Catherine Sexton; and five brothers, Floyd Hale, Robert Hale, Noel Hale, Kelly Hale and Paul Hale. For the last three years, Mrs. Baker made her home with Bobby, Rachel, Colyn and Zoe Wampler.
She is survived by one son-in-law, Bob Wampler of Castlewood; one daughter-in-law, Earnestine Baker of Castlewood; grandchildren, Bobby Wampler and wife Rachel of Castlewood, Sherry Baker Holbrook and husband Michael of Castlewood, Cindy Baker McConnell and husband Jay of Castlewood, Robbie Baker and wife Lisa of Castlewood and Tommy Baker of Piney Flats, Tenn.; one granddaughter-in-law, Elaine Wampler Stanley of Castlewood; great-grandchildren, Lisa Wampler Tackett and husband Roger, Colyn Wampler, Zoe Wampler, Corey Wampler, Tyler Holbrook, Matthew McConnell, Forest McConnell, Cain Baker and Kaylan Baker; two great-great-grandchildren, Zachary Vinson and Gage Maples; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will meet at the funeral home and go in procession, leaving for the cemetery at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.
