Isaac Phares, Jr. was the son of Isaac Phares and Elizabeth Brown, born in Hamilton Co., Ohio. He married 1st. Catherine Guess in 10 Nov 1841. They had one child, Lida Phares. They divorced in August 1849 after he filed on charges of abandonment of him and their daughter. He remarried in Oct. 1849 to Martha Elizabeth Smith Tillison (Tillotson). They had Eva Elizabeth and also raised Martha's children by her first marriage: William, Samuel Solomon and George M.Tillotson.
