Dorothy Gilson of Bloomington, IN, formerly of Bedford, IN, died Wednesday, November 24, 1999, at Bloomington Hospitality House. Born on November 23, 1907, in Sullivan County, IN, she was the daughter of Francis Herbert and Emily Ellen (Stancombe) Pless. She married Raymond Gilson, and he preceded her in death.

Surviving are two two sisters, Carrie Kaiser and Eula Campbell, both of Bloomington, IN; two brothers, Robert Lee Pless of Spencer, IN, and Delbert Pless of Lafayette, IN; nine grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She had worked at the M.Fine Co. for twenty-three years and at Sarkes Tarzian in Bloomington for eight years. She was a homemaker and a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, Order of Eastern Star, and White Shrine.

Services for Dorothy Gilson will be at 3:00 Sunday, November 28th, at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Frields officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery.
