William D. Pless, 85, of Lafayette, died at 3:15 p.m. Thursday, April 1, 2010, at Heritage Healthcare in Lafayette.
He was born in Bedford on March 9, 1925 to the late Francis Herbert and Emily Ellen Stancombe Pless. He married Evelyn Marie Swan in Lafayette on Aug. 10, 1947, and she survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Deborah Pless and Barbara J. Tarver, both of Lafayette; a sister, Carrie Kiser of Ellettsville; a grandchild, Bryan Roberts (wife: Lisa), and three great-grandchildren, Shelby, Brittney and Brady Roberts, all of Lafayette. He was preceded in death by 4 sisters and 2 brothers.
He served in the Indiana State Guard.
