Thelma Steen, 89, of Rowlett was born July 8, 1918, and passed away April 27, 2008. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Rowlett for more than 40 years. Mrs. Steen is survived by her son, Allen D. Steen and wife Margaret of Greenville; a grandson, Freddie Davis Jr. of Royse City; granddaughters Janice M. Hicks and Joy Faye Saulters, both of Union Valley, Susan Gail Taylor and husband Billy of Pennsylvania and Mary Elizabeth Davis of Nevada; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Loyd Allen Steen; her parents, H.J. and Ida Bell Scott; and a son, Scottie Steen. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. today at the First Baptist Church in Rowlett.
