Slocum, Robert, 86, of Sarasota, Fla., originally from Hart, died Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2002. He was born Feb. 16, 1916 in Three Oaks, Mich., and came to Sarasota 10 years ago from Logansport, Ind. He retired in 1979 as a refrigeration engineer. Survivors include a daughter, Mary A. McKinley of Coopersville; sons, Russell E. (Rose Mary) of Hart, Robert A. of Ludington, and Frederick A. (Linda) of Punta Gorda, Fla.; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Memorial services were at Toale Brothers Funeral Home, Sarasota on Dec. 20. Inurnment will be in Logansport. Memorials may be sent to American Heart Association.
