Also surviving is one daughter, Ruth Ann (Dean) Roberts of Roodhouse; four sons, Jim Butcher of Roodhouse, Paul Butcher of Palmyra, Mike (Mary Jane) Butcher of Scottville and Bill (Sherri) Butcher of Roodhouse; 15 grandchildren, Tim (Karen) Flowers, Beth (Bryan) Webb, Jason (Crissie) Flowers, Gabe Roberts, Trisha Butcher, Jenny (Chad) Strubbe, Tom Butcher, Nathan Butcher, Phillip Butcher, Andrew Butcher, Ryan Butcher, Nick (Stacy) Butcher, Adam (Lacey) Butcher, Jacob Butcher and Sarah Butcher; 13 great-grandchildren, Garrett Flowers, Ben Flowers, Kayla Flowers, Clayton Flowers, Kiley Flowers, Kyndall Webb, Grayson Webb, Nicholas Roberts, Brayden Roberts, Rachel Strubbe, Cameron Strubbe, Jessica Strubbe and Helen Butcher; and one sister, Mabel (Marvin) Walkington of Jacksonville. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Marshall Waters and Byron Waters; and two sisters, Beulah Spencer and Helen Hettick.
Mrs. Butcher was a member of the Scottville Christian Church and for many years was a Key Lady with the Women's Auxiliary at Lewis Memorial Christian Village in Springfield. In the 1940s she taught school in a one-room schoolhouse in rural Greene County.
Services were entrusted to Mackey-Daws Funeral Home of Murrayville, Illinois.
