Erma, the youngest daughter of Perry A. and Ida Nickell was born at Lagrange, Indiana, April 8, 1915 and departed the life November 25, 1921.
She leaves to mourn their loss her father, mother and three sister and three brothers, Lona, Elizabeth, Claude, Esta, Ethel, and Arthur, grandparents, uncles, aunts and many friends.
Erma was a very lovable child to all who knew her. She was in her first school year, and was intensely interested in it, and will be greatly missed by all her little school friends.

The following was composed by Mrs. Oliver Nickell, in memoriy of her grandchild:
Farewell, papa and mama, and brothers and sisters, farewell, I say; The Lord has called and I must obey.
Don't weep for me and your heart to break.
Prepare to meet me; I'll wait at the gate.
My stay with you was not long.
Only a dream, a vision, a song;
Then in my waiting, what did I see?
Jesus, my Jesus, waiting for me. Oh how he did great me with a smile
"Come in little Erma my child."
Don't weep for me and your heart to break. Prepare to meet me I'll wait at the Gate.
Yes, my Savior and I will wait at the Gate.
In that world, papa and mama, is a bible indeed.
At the close of each day, open and read.
It will point you homeward, where I stay.
You will find it so when you pray.
Don't weep for me, your heart to break.
Prepare to meet me; I'll wait at the Gate.
Yes, my Savoir and I will wait at the Gate.
I have not been gone long, a night and a day, but on my harp, how I can play.
Don't weep for me, your hearts to break,
Prepare to meet me; I'll wait at the Gate.
I am glad I came here, its beauty all round, I have on my coming a harp and a crown.
A rest foe the weary, a home for the soul.
The gates are of pearl, the streets are of gold.
Here I am, so happy tongue cannot tell,
Living with Jesus, as angels we dwell.
So don't weep; for me, your heart to break, prepare to meet me I'll wait at the Gate
